Sunnybank Dragons have recorded their first win of the season, with an impressive 44-21 victory over the Sunshine Coast Stingrays at Oldmac Oval on Saturday afternoon.
Fielding an unchanged team from the one that suffered a narrow loss to Souths last week, the Dragons set the tone early.
After rediscovering their attacking spark, Sunnybank proved too much for the Stingrays to handle, putting an unanswered 30 points on the board before the half-time siren gave their opposition a much-needed break.
With the game beyond doubt, the Stingrays managed to win the second half, pegging the score back to a more respectable 23 point margin.
