Seven Sunnybank players featured in Super 14 action on the weekend.

Jake Schatz and Rob Simmons made their debut for the Reds in the victory over Super 14 heavyweights, the Crusaders. They were joined by Greg Holmes, Leroy Houston, Richard Kingi and Digby Ioane for Sunnybank to provide over a quarter of the team. With regular team member Ben Lucas injured the figure could have been higher.

Stephano Hunt also got his debut cap at Super 14 level when he came on as a replacement for teh Western Force against the Hurricanes. Hunt is only 18 years of age and has made swift progress since signing with the Force this year.

Liam Gill has also returned after an exhaustive period of Rugby and travel which saw him make his senior representative debut for the QAS Qld 2nd XV and then jet off to Las Vegas with the Australian Sevens team where he played a significant role in the young Australian team making the semi-finals.

Schatz, Lucas, Hunt and Gill are all Sunnybank Junior players while Holmes, Simmons, Kingi and Ioane are all graduates of the clubs successful Colts program.
