Playing at Sunnybank

Sunnybank Rugby is the only Premier Rugby Club in Queensland with an integrated   playing pathway from Under 6 to Premier. Over 1,000 players wear the Dragon Brand with pride each week, enjoying the best  facilities and coaching of any club with the lowest fees.

Junior Fees

Senior Fees

  • Open Grade Players....................................................................... $300.00

  • Colts (Under 19 Players)................................................................ $225.00

Fees must be paid in full prior to the games commencing. Non-financial players will not be selected for trial or fixture games. The club provides the following options for fees to be paid:
Cash/EFTPOS/Cheque/Paysmart Periodical Payment (all must be receipted)

 

The Rugby Season (also see individual calendars)

Juniors

The BJRU seasons will commence on the following dates:

Prior to the actual season commencing, teams will play in Division trial or grading games to determine which Division the team should be allocated to for Competition.

 

The BJRU regular round seasons will conclude on the following dates:

The Under 13 – 17 seasons will then have a finals series which will culminate with Grand Finals to be played on the 11th & 12th September.

NB. The Under 16 & 17 competitions will include 3 distinct competitions:

Seniors

The QRU Premier and Brisbane competitions will commence on the 10th April and conclude with Grand Finals on the 4th & 5th September.

Match Times 

Matches shall be played at the times and grounds indicated, as set out by the Committee. Generally start times are as follows:

Juniors

All Junior players should present themselves to their coach or manager at least 30 minutes or as advised by coach or manager, before scheduled kick-off with team uniform. Moulded dental mouth guards are recommended and other IRB approved protective equipment is optional. Players under the age of 10 wear sport shoes (joggers/runners), moulded football boots, or blades. Under no circumstances is any type of screw in boot tags permitted.

Saturday

Under 6............................. 8:30am............................... 15 minutes each way - 5 minute break
Under 7............................. 9:10am............................... 15 minutes each way - 5 minute break
Under 8**........................... 10:00am............................. 20 minutes each way - 5 minute break
Under 9............................. 10:50am............................. 20 minutes each way - 5 minute break

Sunday

Under 10**......................... 8:30am............................... 20 minutes each way - 5 minute break
Under 11........................... 9:20am............................... 20 minutes each way - 5 minute break
Under 12........................... 10:20am............................. 20 minutes each way - 5 minute break
Under 13........................... 11:20am............................. 25 minutes each way - 5 minute break
Under 14........................... 12:20pm............................. 25 minutes each way - 5 minute break
Under 15........................... 1:20pm............................... 25 minutes each way - 5 minute break
Under 16........................... 2:20pm............................... 30 minutes each way - 5 minute break
Under 17........................... 3:30pm.............................. 30 minutes each way – 5 minute break

Premier I............................ see calendar. 40 min each way plus injury time - 5 minute break

Senior games are predominantly played on a Saturday. Match times will vary at away venues depending on the draw and the facilities of the home club.
