Sunnybank is the only Premier Club in Queensland with a comprehensive 7s’ program. This includes participation in the elite international and Australian domestic competitions as well as the provision of development programs for males and females in local school and community competitions. Partnering with Sunnybank Rugby will provide a strong brand association through our elite team with events in a number of recognised tourism destinations in Australia, Asia and the Pacific.

The current programs have been successfully conducted and funded since 2009 and the partnership will ensure that they continue to grow at a rate commensurate with the growth in profile of 7′s Rugby. Our programs have been recognised and supported by the Australian Rugby Union, most notably through the selection of players in the national squad.
