Experience the speed, skill and excitement of Rugby 7s with the Sunnybank Dragons in 2026. Whether you're a junior looking to develop your game or a senior player chasing representative opportunities, our 7s program offers a fun, competitive environment for players of all experience levels.

Our Senior 7s program is open to both men and women, with training running from 15 September to 8 November 2026 every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30pm – 8:00pm at Sunnybank Rugby. Registration is $35 per player, covering all training sessions, insurance and tournament expenses for players selected to represent Sunnybank (additional contributions apply for the Hervey Bay and Coral Coast 7s tournaments).

Our Junior 7s program includes competitions for Girls U11, U13, U15 and U17, as well as Boys U15 and U17. The 2026 competition will run over 6 weeks (12 rounds) plus finals, with matches played in a gala-day format at central venues on Sundays, giving teams the opportunity to play multiple games each round.

Whether you're trying Rugby 7s for the first time or looking to elevate your game, Sunnybank Rugby provides the coaching, community and competitive pathway to help you succeed.

7s senior Rugby

Get ready for the 2026 Rugby 7s season at Sunnybank Rugby! Training kicks off on Tuesday 15 September and runs through to 8 November 2026, with sessions every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30pm – 8:00pm at Sunnybank Rugby.

7s Junior Rugby

Junior Rugby 7s is back in 2026, offering an exciting, fast-paced competition for players looking to develop their skills in the shorter format of the game.

The competition is open to Girls U11, U13, U15 and U17, with Boys U15 and U17 competing in a Sunday competition. The 2026 season will run over 6 weeks (12 rounds) plus finals, with games played in a gala-day format at central venues on Sunday mornings and afternoons, allowing teams to play multiple matches each round.

To participate, all players and team officials must be registered through Rugby Xplorer before taking the field. Whether you're new to 7s or looking to take your game to the next level, Junior 7s is a fantastic opportunity to learn, compete and have fun with Sunnybank Rugby.

  • 14th/15th Nov - State Champs for Girls and Boys @ Ballymore

  • 22nd Nov - Round 11 and 12

  • 27th Nov - Semi-Finals and Grand Finals (from 5pm on the Friday)
