Remara Partnership Announcement

Sunnybank Rugby can announce a pioneering partnership with Remara, supporting the Club’s Junior Rugby Program and Premier Men’s team, and reinforcing the pathway from grassroots participation through to elite competition.

This partnership reflects a shared commitment to strengthening grassroots community rugby, junior development and long-term pathways. Sunnybank Rugby has long been recognised for its contribution to player development, community engagement, and the cultivation of a strong, values-driven club environment, principles that closely align with Remara’s long standing support of community and professional sport across Australia.

The initial three-year agreement will see the Remara brand feature on the front of playing jerseys for Junior players in U10-U16 in 2026, and across all Junior teams in 2027 and 2028, represented across Brisbane Junior Rugby Union Competitions. They will also feature on the Premier Men’s back of Jersey from 2026 as they play Hospital Cup in Queensland Premier Rugby.

Remara is an Australian alternative asset manager specialising in credit, real estate, and tactical opportunity investments, with the goal of enhancing client wealth through strategic asset management. Remara have joined Sunnybank Rugby with a view to extending their presence in South-East Queensland and branching into the Rugby Union landscape.  Sunnybank Rugby General Manager, Stephanie Karvelis said:

This values driven commitment in supporting the foundation of our game is hugely welcome as we continue to grow our game and pathways for years to come.’

“Sunnybank Rugby is building something that lasts through strong juniors, strong pathways, strong community. We’re proud to support that and play our part in helping the next generation thrive,” says Andrew McVeigh, Remara Managing Partner.

Building on the success of Remara’s partnership with the St George Illawarra Dragons and Easts Rugby, this collaboration represents a continued investment in professional and local sport, with a particular focus on nurturing emerging talent, supporting community participation, and ensuring the sustainability of grassroots rugby.

Remara is proud to stand alongside Sunnybank Rugby Club in championing the important role community rugby plays in bringing people together and developing the next generation of players.
