Sunnybank Rugby Union Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Steve Kefu, former Reds player and Wallabies international, as Pathways Manager – Colts.
Steve brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience, alongside a deep knowledge of the Queensland rugby landscape. His strong influence and networks across schools and junior rugby will be invaluable in accelerating the performance of our pathways program from juniors through to colts, whilst also strengthening the retention of our best young players within the Sunnybank system.
This appointment marks another significant step in building a stronger production line of players through our pathway, ensuring that talent developed in the junior age groups continues to progress into Colts and beyond.
Bradley Harrington, Director of Rugby at Sunnybank
Having someone of Steve’s calibre join Sunnybank is a huge boost for our program. His experience as a Wallaby and his connections across schools and junior rugby give us a real edge in attracting and developing the best young talent. Steve’s leadership will be key in building depth and consistency across our Colts program. Sunnybank intends to be a destination club for aspirational players and coaches, and Steve’s appointment is another clear statement of that vision.
